Authentication Failure setting up server details

I've been using Sab and Newsdemon in tandem up until about a week ago. The issue is when I try to put into sab, the newsdemon username and password. I have tried with 2 different newsdemon accounts, both of which log in fine on the newsdemon site directly. I even tried with a usenet server account. I still get " Authentication failed, check username/password." on all 3 accounts despite being different news servers and all 3 log in fine on their own. I have tried with and without ssl, and I am positive in both news servers I'm typing/copying in the server name correctly. In the case of newsdemon, I have actually tried 3 different acceptable host names, same issue on every one. The test server fails every time. I'm using Sab v 4.0.3 windows 10.

Some news providers have a different account for their website and their newsserver. For example, newsgroupdirect has that. So maybe newsdemon too?

If just one account was failing I could see that, but it's 2 different newsdemon accounts as well as an account from usenet server.
