Lost Queue when Sabnzbd launched

I am running on a Mac with Ventura with Firefox. Using 3.7.1
I have been using sabnzb for many years.
I have a very large queue and history.

I have an external USB drive set for my downloads.

Today I launched sabnzbd but did not have my drive connected.
My Queue is now empty except for what it just added from RSS.
History is still there.

I checked logs and find many permission errors and Cannot create directory errors.
It looks like it may have tried every file in the queue and removed each one since drive was not available.

Is there a way to recover the queue?
Is there a way to pull the failed items from the log to add them to the queue?
Is there a flag in settings to not start trying to download on startup?
Is there a way I can prevent this in the future?

The other problem is I had quite a few items in the queue marked as paused.
These also disappeared.
There are also many entries in the log with errors but no names.
My guess is this were the paused items. Not sure why they would be tried and lost.

Any help to try and recover the 1500+ items in the queue would be greatly appreciated.

Attaching a snippet of the logs:

Have you tried queue repair? In the Status window.

I am facing the same issue. Plus, the queue repair is not working :( Any advice on how to fix this, please?

Many, Many thanks to safihre for your suggestion.
It seem to recover my lost queue, with Normal/Low priority intact, but did not maintain the ones I had paused.
That is a minor issue I easily rectified by repausing them.

Is there a setting to launch sabnzbd in paused mode to avoid from happening again?

Yes, in Config Specials, there is the start_Paused option :)
Glad it worked!
