Unpack before moving to network drive

Hello,

After hours of tweaking, searching and failing I can use some help. I have a Plex server on a Nvidia Shield with a SSD attached that contains movies and series. I use my laptop to download movies and series with SAB and would like my setup to automatically transfer downloaded movies en tv shows to the SSD of the Nvidia Shield.

Is there a way for SAB to unpack a file/folder before it moves to the 'complete' folder? I tried macOS automator but that doesn't work because then it already starts transferring the file when it is still being unpacked.

Set complete to your local disk.
Then use a post-processing script to move the result to the final destination

Thanks, but unfortunately I can't code. I see there's this script that's called simpel but it seems daunting to me (I can't add the URL for some reason)

Any suggestions on how to do this with other software that has an UI?

You can't use UI based stuff as a post-processing script.

So ... copy manually with your favourite UI tool?

Oh: why is it a problem for you that SAB unpacks to Complete (on your Nvidia Shield SSD)?

I thought it was not possible to unpack to a different network drive. When I want to change the directory I click browse but only see locations on my computer. How can I see network drives? I see the Shield in my sidebar under 'network'

Edit: Wow! It was under volumes and I got it working. Really cool. Thanks!

OK ... good.

Well ... you can, as you've discovered. However, there is a big BUT ... if the network drive is not reachable, big problems. And if the network drive is slow, slowness problems.
