I am trying to add nzbgeek to SABnzbd, the issue is that the connection keeps timing out. I'm confident the DNS and SSL are working, and username and password are correct.

You've added nzbgeek as a newsserver. That is not correct: nzbgeek is an indexer, not a newsserver.

If you understand the above, do this: add the correctl cart URL as RSS feed in SABnzbd. See https://sabnzbd.org/wiki/configuration/3.7/rss
