How can I delete the - let's say - last 10'000 entries from history?

I know that I can adjust the settings in
Config -> Switches -> Post-Processing -> History Retention

But the "keep maximum number of completed jobs" seems not to work,
if I choose the actual number of history entries minus 10'000 and click on "Save changes" after entering this new number, the visible number of entries in the second Tab "History" remains unchanged.

Any idea how I can reduce the number of entries without deleting the entire history?

Is it possible that this change will be applied only after loading the next NZB in SABnzbd?

Yes, when the next job is added to history it will apply the new number.
And also once a day.
