Hi everyone,

I am tring to use sabnzbd on my local computer (macbook pro), but it fails when testing servers, ths error is "Invalid server address". I've also tried with nzbget, with error msg "Connection to newshosting failed: Error 60 - Operation timed out".

The above errors occur when I use my wifi, but works fines when I switch to mobile hot spot (4G) network. It's not the DNS problem because I've set DNS to Google's for both cases. It seems the ISP of my wifi network blocks something while the ISP of 4G network does not?

Thanks for your reply. It's the server from newshosting: "news(dot)newshosting(dot)com". New users are not allowed to post links here so I use "(dot)" to replace ".". But I don't think that's the problem because everything works fine when I use my 4G mobile hot spot.

On what network are you? ISP, work, school, ... ?

I am in the school's network.

Using IP address of newshosting does not work.

Then I suppose your school is blocking usenet traffic. Talk to your school.

Is there any way to use proxy on sabnzbd or nzbget?
