SAB accessing NAS drives

I had installed SAB 3.2.0 to "Run at startup" and tried to configure the ini file so that SAB would download to one of my NAS drives. I have been ineffective at making that happen. Nosing around, I found that I could run SAB as a service,
https://sabnzbd.org/wiki/advanced/sabnz ... ws-service. However, before starting all of that, I'd like to ask the community if there is a simpler way to use my NAS drives or should I follow that procedure?
Thanks for your help.

if your NAS is a Synology, you might consider running SABnzbd on your Synology itself

Same goes for QNAP: there's a SABnzbd package available for installation on the NAS.

I have Synology NAS that I could use as the server but did not know that a NAS can host SAB. Where would I find that app, on the Downloads page? Could you give me any pros and cons so I can evaluate whether to make the switch?
Thanks,

First Google hit:

Thanks,
Let's do it the other way around: you sum up the pros and cons, and ask for feedback.
But, based on your questions, I must ask you: are you sure you want to do this? The most easy thing to do is "SABnzbd on Windows, with built-in drives". Anything else (NAS drives, Windows Service, running SAB on a NAS) is more difficult. If you consider yourself a tech newbie, maybe just keep it as you have it.

Will SAB have access to a USB-hub attached drive using the SAB on Windows? If the answer is yes then I can re-jigger my drive set-up and stay with SAB on Windows. A no answer forces me to use my NAS as I don't have nearly enough free space on the drive plugged into my system.
