Am very new to all these: usenet, sabnzbd, etc; and having some problems. Hope you guys can help.
I am running sabnzbd ( 3.1.1-2 ) in archlinux. That seemed to have installed alright; was able to download a few TV shows manually. I am now trying to install sickgear-git; more precisely, replacing sickrage ( installed and then removed earlier).
My problem is in the installation of sickgear-git. The latest conflict is with sickgear-git's python2-cheetah, conflicting with an existing python-cheetah3. I tried removing python-cheetah3 from arch, but the module or package is required by sabnzbd.
Should I be using sickgear-git at all in my setup? Any good workarounds to this problem?

That's strange that they conflict, since one is for python 2 and the other for python 3.
You could use some of the other show services, like sickrage or Sonarr.
