Password in NZB file name is "detected" but not transferred to SABnzbd

Hi,
My SABnzbd installation has a problem with the transfer of passwords within the NZB file name to SABnzbd in order to be used for the automatic unpacking (unraring) of the encrypted files. I use SABnzbd v3.1.1 (32-bit standalone version) on Windows 7 SP1.
The download of the file starts as it is supposed to but then pauses, showing the message:
Paused job "Filename" because of encrypted RAR file (if supplied, all passwords were tried)
"Action when encrypted RAR is downloaded" is set to "Pause", so SABnzbd does what is to be expected when it does not find or get a password for decryption. Switching this to "Off" completes the download but does not solve the problem of the files not being decrypted/unpacked.
The NZB files contain the correct passwords in the typical format somename{{password}}.nzb. I can unrar the encrypted RAR files manually, this works without any problems, and it also works with a different newsreader but I would like to switch to SABnzbd. At least, this shows that the NZB files and the RAR files are not the problem. Something is wrong with my installation of SABnzbd.
"enable unrar" is checked under "Special" - "Switches".
There is one weird thing that I noticed and this is why I wrote that the password is kind of detected but not transferred to SABnzbd: When the file download is paused due to the error message above and I click on "Edit NZB Details - Password", I actually get to see the correctly extracted password in the password field. After clicking on the "Submit" button behind the password field and manually resuming the download, the download is being finished and unpacked correctly.
So, what could be the problem why SABnzbd claims not to being able detect the password although it actually does and how can I fix this?
