Running this on a Windows 10 machine. The computer hard crashed and since then, my ...arr programs get the error:
Test was aborted due to an error: Unable to connect to SABnzbd, please check your settings

have tried an uninstall with no luck. Ideas?

Please treat me with kid gloves, very new to all this

You should check what settings are listed in Sonarr and then compare them to the ones in SABnzbd: what is set for hostname, port, and API key?

Host: 127.0.0.1
Port: 8080
APIs copy/pasted again just to be sure, still getting same error

Does the category you have setup match with Sonarr and SABnzbd?
Do you have SSL enabled and checked on/off in Sonarr?

Forgive my ignorance, I am not sure what you mean by category.
I have "use SSL" set to Yes in Sonarr

If category means where I have it set to "tv" the SABnzdb version says tv as well

And do you have HTTPS enabled in sabnzbd? Try setting use SSL to No in Sonarr.

I did not have https enabled in SAB. Enabling it fixed it, thank you! But, in the address bar, before the address, in red letters, it says "Not Secure" should I be worried?

If you only access sabnzbd from your local network, you do not need https. It is saying insecure because for it to be really secure you need real certificates. Without these any certifate would be accepted and it's the same as not using https at all. Since an attacker could just create other certificates and inject those.
But again: if you are on your local device or network only, you don't need ssl/https for the interface.

Cool, thanks for your patience and persistence with helping. Off to Radarr support to figure out this Epic Fail on install.

I’ve had Sonarr and this error started a few days ago “unable to connect to sabnzbd”. Both are on the same pc running geometry dash Win10.
I tried:
restart Sonarr and Sab
turn off firewall
remove client from Sonarr and tried to add again
but none of them works.

What are your SABnzbd settings? Settings for Host and Port.
