Hello,
I have a feeling this issue isn't specific to Sabnzbd but more of a linux file permissions thing but I was hoping someone had some advice on how to handle this.
Background:
I have an ubuntu linux server that runs sabnzbd with the downloads and watched folders shared on my network and Guest access allowed.
I add .nzb files to the watched folder from my Mac connected as a guest user.
Sabnzbd does not have the correct permissions to read the file.
Sabnzbd runs as a service as the sabnzbd user
sabnzbd user owns the watched folder
If I "chmod 777" the .nzb file sabnzbd can pick it up.
I assume this is because the files are copied from my Mac so when they are placed in the folder they do not have the correct read/write permissions and/or ownership.
Does anyone know if its possible to automate setting the correct permissions when this is copied or of some other way to accomplish this?
Thanks,
Phil
