Hey everybody,

up until macOS Mojave, an NZB file that was downloaded by Safari would be started by SABnzbd. This ceased to work with Catalina. On Mojave, the file ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.DownloadAssessment.plist could be edited to auto-start NZB files that were downloaded by Safari, but that plist file doesn't seem to have any effect anymore. It still exists on my iMac and carries the correct NZB entry, but downloaded NZBs are no longer auto-starting.

Anybody knows how to auto-start Safari-downloaded NZB's with SABnzbd on Catalina?

Is SABnzbd working normally at all? Some users reported it didnt work anymore on Catalina?

That's kinda strange. For me working well both ways just try redoing by resarting once.

So you are saying that your NZB files actually do start SABnzbd after being downloaded by Safari on Catalina?

Could you please send me that plist file I mentioned in my opening post? just for verification purposes!

...found a workaround that I'd like to share. In SABnzbd's folder settings, you can pick a folder that is monitored by SABnzbd. Whenever an NZB file is downloaded into that folder, SABnzbd imports it and starts the resp. Usenet download. Bonus: the NZB file is deleted afterwards.
