Recently upgraded to the latest version and now files are not downloading. They are queuing but not downloading. Even the test download is not starting. Any suggestions?

Possible causes:

- no newsserver defined
- no newsserver reachable. Click on Test Server
- Paused overall (main page)
- paused download (main page: Queue)
- paused based on schedule : config -> scheduling
- nothing in Queue

Though I have been downloading files for a year or so, I really do not fully understand what I am doing.

I have had much success, but have been finding troubles more often in the recent past. I am updated with the newest version, running on my windows 10 laptop.

The response I get allot is : Cannot connect to server news.free-usenet [452 authorization rejected]. I have tried Google searching this and am unable to find any information on 452. I find many other numbers, but not 452.

Allot of times, what is happening is the files start to download and then quickly it stops and stalls. I try over and over. Most often, after a few days the file starts to download. I always try different files, I always test the server when I enter my password.

OK, nice. You can set it higher (in steps of 5) until you reach the max download speed and/or you get "[452 authorization rejected]" again ... then lower a bit.
