SABnzbd Forums

I need some help anybody know a solution for "SABnzbd needs a free tcp/ip port for its internal web server. " i tried a lot of different ports (by changing trough the terminal as said when the message pops up) it is on my OSX mac and the weird thing is that this only happens on one of the logins. The other one has no problems. Before I used NTTPGRAB but I would like to switch.
Also even tough trashing the applcation it seems to remember the port i put in last via terminal with a brand new downloaded dmg.

It always remembers the last port in the ~/.sabnzbd/sabznd.ini file.
If you start it with a shell, just use the -s parameter, e.g.

I assume that by "logins" you mean logging in to different user accounts.
Each user account has its own SABnzbd settings.
Do you logout before you login to a different account?
If you login to one user account, startup SABnzbd, switch (without logging out) to another user account,
start SABnzbd there too, the second instance will not get the port.

You should run SABnzbd under one user account.
The other user accounts will be able to access the Web interface anyway.

On a multi-user system the best thing is to run SABnzbd as a background service.
Unfortunately I'm not familiar enough with OSX to tell you how to do that.
Other forum visitors may know.

I don't want to run it in multiple user accounts but because i couldnt get it working in my main account a tried my secondairy one to see if it worked and it did so i am confused on what i have to o to get the main working the only one i want to run it in.

Make sure SABnzbd doesn't run on the other account any more.
I can think of no reason why it wouldn't work on your main account.

As a last resort, remove the current sabnzbd.ini file.
It's in a hidden folder called .sabnzbd (yes it start with a dot).
You need to tell the Finder to show hidden files.
