High CPU usage on Mac at idle

Post by realdannys »

I'm getting high CPU usage from Sab just sitting at idle doing nothing on my Mac. Ive tried restarting a few times but to no avail. All my other web services idle just fine but Sab sits there junk up 11% CPU 24/7.

I presume it shouldn't be doing this, i'm running the latest compiled version.

Do you have any notification services turned on in Config> Notifications?

I just tracked it down - I'm using NZBControl from my MacBook Pro to check on downloads and it's 1 sec intervals were just rinsing CPU usage. I've set it to 30 seconds now and it's calmed it down somewhat.

Maybe you can enable Debug logging in the Status Window and then after ~10 min of idle, click Show Logging?
I check on mine and it uses 0.2% idle, so anything above 2% is way too much.
