Obscured download not processing correctly

Version 2.2.1
Windows 7
Sonarr 2.0.0.4949
For about the last week or so the initial version of The Daily Show is obscured and instead of ending up in Season 22 it gets it's own folder with the title of that days show and an obscured mkv file. Sonarr still thinks it's in process even though SAB says it's completed. I don't know if this is a SAB issue or a Sonarr issue. Eventually another release of the show usually becomes available and is also downloaded but processed correctly.
Is this a SAB issue or a Sonarr issue?

That's a good question, it seems you use Series Sorting in SABnzbd? Try to disable that, doesn't work well in combination with Sonarr.
Sonarr and SABnzbd should be able to communicate correctly in any case, so strange they don't.

No, I don't use Series Sorting in SAB. I believe that Sonarr said not to do that and so I let Sonarr take care of the sorting.

There are lots of threads about obfuscated names in the Sonarr forum, maybe you can find something there.

Sonarr doesn't seem to think this is specifically due to obfuscated items. The defined path in SAB for TV shows is Z:\Usenet Shows, which is a synology network drive. The path SAB has decided on is Z:\Usenet Shows\The Daily Show with Trevor Noah 2017 09 13 Tom Morello & Chuck D. Is there any log information that would explain why SAB is not passing the defined path to Sonarr for this particular download?
I tried to post all the status information for the download but phpbb thinks I'm trying to post a link?

SABnzbd doesn't pass anything, Sonarr asks the data from the API.
So you can see what Sonarr is seeing by opening the API, try this and then check the <storage> tag.
Code: Select all
http://localhost:8080/sabnzbd/tapi?mode=history&output=xml&apikey=YOUR_API_KEY

Storage reads: Z:\Usenet Shows\The Daily Show with Trevor Noah 2017 09 13 Tom Morello & Chuck D

Then there's nothing more sabnzbd can do.. Sonarr should then pick it up. Did you do a connection test to sabnzbd in Sonarr?

Yes. The connection works just fine. But the folder defined for "tv" is Z:\Usenet Shows

Isn't that where sabnzbd placed it?

Yes, but it added the sub-folder The Daily Show with Trevor Noah 2017 09 13 Tom Morello & Chuck D.

Yes, that's where it's in, right? It creates the subfolders for each job, that's the default and sonarr has always works with that.
You can stop it making subfolders, but that won't suddenly let sonarr pick its up. That's unrelated.

Hmmm. So perhaps this is a problem with the makeup of the nzb file? Sonarr expects \The Daily Show and then by it's naming convention \Season xx\episode title.
