Hi all
I noticed that my downloads were not updating in my plex library so I checked my d:/downloads/movies directory (which is all setup correctly as the category directory I use for all movie downloads) and found my downloaded files did not exist in that folder at all! even though SAB is reporting that the downloaded were completed. And SAB is saying in the info for each download that the correct d: path was the final destination.

So I scanned my computer for the files and it turns out they are all sitting in my winsys64 directory with the following directory/path structure:

C:/windows/winsys64/<nameofmovie>/file.mkv

Even weirder is it was just working fine and one day this just started happening (at least as far as I can tell).

I've triple checked my catagories and nothings changed and indeed is exactly as was setup before.

Any ideas ?

So simple question, what have you set for Download folder? And do you have sorting setup?

What could also happend is some permissions issue, that sabnzbd is not allowed by Windows anymore to write to its regular directory.
So try to set the Download folder again, and see if you get an error.

I tried setting the folder again, and no luck and no error.
I don't use sorting in SAB ( although I rename files via sonar/Radarr)
The downloads folder is set correctly as d:/downloads/movies
Derfault base folder says C:/users/<username>
And I checked that the movies folder has full permissions
No luck so far
Interestingly TV category has no problem downloading to d:/downloads/tv

What if you actually use D:/ and not d:/ ?
For Windows the lower/upper-case might matter.

Some more info: just tried a couple more movies after trying to re save settings such as folders and triple checking everything and now I'm getting the download into the download directory and a copy that perfectly renamed to the specified renaming context I have setup in Radarr. So maybe it's a Radarr issue? Yet why would it land in wynsis64 dir? There is actually no choice of movie folder location within radarr - just the choice to rename or not and what the renaming context should be.

I'm also noticing that the downloads are not always clearing from the activity list. The reason given is "sample" and the manual import choosing correct movie fails.

I am ending up with the original file name and directory of the nzb in my d:/downloads/movies directory (this is good and an improvement - but it's meant to be renamed by radarr to suit my Plex server).

Then I find that I also have the file (renamed perfectly) in the winsys64 directly as a second copy

I can confirm that if I turn off file renaming in Radarr then the problem ceases. (But of course then of course I lose the ability to automatically rename for Plex)

So clearly it's a Radarr problem. You also describe that SABnzbd also shows the correct D:\ path, so that is where we left the files.
You should check Radarr settings.
