Sabbzbd + Windows Server 2012

Hey guys, first time posting but I've spent countless days and hours researching this problem to no avail.
I have a fully licensed and paid for version of windows server 2012 r2, with two processors quad core processors, so 8 processors in total and 12GB of ECC RAM hooked up via cat6 to 1gbit router. Should be able to handle Sabnzbd in a breeze. So this is what happens: Sickbeard, Couchpotato, or manual upload of NZBs to Sabnzbd and boom the download starts. Flawlessly chugging away at roughly 12MB/s, slightly slower than my max connection speed of 150Mbit/s. I'm happy, downloading crazy high def movies and series in minutes. Now; when the download is finished and it starts to unpack Sabnzbd hangs once and a while, if I am streaming something else at the same time on a TV play continues but sometimes stutters. But as soon as the file is unpacked and moves to its final destination (on the same disk, but in a shared media directory) everything totally hangs up. Server totally hangs with spinning cursors everywhere, the streams to TV pause and fail with connection error. Seriously? 8 CPU cores still hangs this stuff? Anyone else have any insight as to why I might need to spend thousands of dollars to update my server to be able to handle a simple unpack and move on the same machine?
EDIT: Should note that I've upgraded to newest Alpha version, but have been experiencing this problem since I started the setup, around 1 year ago.

In a 8 core system, with 1GigE, that certainly should not happen, and it indicates some kind of system/OS/driver/HW problem
In your Windows, at the moment it happens, I advice you to check the usage/load of:
- CPU
- harddisk
- network
- and windows logging (I have no Windows, so I can't tell you which one)

Okay so I apologize but my screen capture wasn't working on my headless server... so this is all the information I can provide but I watched it for over two hours so I can swear it is accurate.
No Activity:
CPU: 2% - 4% average over 60 minutes of idle time.
Disk I/O: 1MB/sec - 4MB/sec average over 60 minutes of idle time.
Network usage: 200KB/sec - 400 KB/sec during idle time.
Memory usage: 25% of 12GB ECC RAM.
During NZB downloads through SabNZBd:
CPU: 3% - 8% average over 20 minutes of download time.
Disk I/O: 10MB/sec - 15MB/sec over 20 Minutes of download time.
Network usages: 80-150Mbit/s over 20 minutes of download time.
Memory usage: 26% of 12GB ECC RAM over 20 minutes of download time.
This is where shit gets crazy, because when unpack starts my server freezes and all streams to any TV freezes, I have no problems except for maxing out internet connection and intermittent half second buffers while things download up to this point... really no serious issue....
Now, unpack starts, download appears at 99% on SabNZBd.... but server hangs... spinning wheels, cannot open task manager, luckily I have resource monitor running in the background so I can check everything that's going on....
During Unpack/Move to folder (Cannot discern which is happening because server is completely hung from everything during this point... cannot even open start menu, or task manager during this time)
This process for an 8.5GB movie (That I used to test) took over 20 minutes of Server being frozen time until TV started streaming again and the rest of the server was accessible to do what I please....
During unpack/move stats:
CPU: 2%-20% but average over 20-30 minutes of frozen time it was around 5% mostly spikes to 20, but back down to 5% for long periods of time.
Disk I/O: 0-32MB/sec...... actually the resource monitor looked like this VVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVV, tops of the V's were 32MB/sec, bottom of V's were 0MB/s
Network usage: 0.01/0.02%.... 100kbps-200kbps
Memory usage: Still hanging on 26%
To note: Random freezes during downloads cause network usage to drop to 0% for a few seconds at a time and disc usage to drop for the same period, Hard Faults/sec on memory rarely hits 1% unless its moving files but even still its random.
Hope this info helps....
Please let me know what i'm doing wrong.

I started having the same issues. I tried updating unzip to the most recent beta version as well and still doing the same thing. It is happening to me on even a 500mb TV show file

Hi Guys,
I really have no idea. I don't use Windows, so I can't help you much further.
A long shot: under the SABnzbd wrench symbol, click in the circle-refresh symbol to measure the disk speed ... what do you get?
Result with my SSD:
Download folder speed 215.6 MB/s
Complete folder speed 217 MB/s

Used cache 0 B (0 articles)
System performance (Pystone) 66093 Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5…
Download folder speed 232.1 MB/s
Complete folder speed 229 MB/s
But- interestingly enough, if I do this test several times waiting approximately 30 seconds between each test, my Donload/Complete folder speed will change from 10 MB/s -> 250 MB/s
EDIT: But, when I check the System Performance software that my server uses, HDD I/O load rarely fluctuates between very small percentages, so its not like the server is bogging down...

I'm using intel i7 with 16 GB Ram. Without any problem.
