Video files unpacking as a document but still has the codec

Please help!!!!
Video files unpacking as a document but still has the codec extension. For example, the NZB will unpack and route to the correct folder but the file will read ... 60 Days In - S03E02 - 720p HDTV x264-W4F.mkv but type is Document. This occured after I reinstalled El Capitan.
