Hello,
What is the explanation of the backup server definition in the server settings? When does that kick in? When the files that are downloaded are incomplete?
Thanks,

What is the role of the backup server in server settings?

Re: What is the role of the backup server in server settings?
First non-backup servers are tried. When those do not have an article, the backup servers are tried.
The idea is this:
Your primary server is a free or cheap one with a low retention time
Your backup server is a pay-per-megabyte server with a high retention time.

Re: What is the role of the backup server in server settings?
I have the feeling that my backup server is being used as much (even more because it has more connections available) than the primary server.
Didn't try disabling the backup server to see if download continued, but the primary was downloading with 3 connections, so the files should be available on there.
Also, the nzb's were only 30days old so they should be available
edit:
hmm, I tried downloading some parts with newsleecher, and the files are indeed not on the server. weird, but there is probably one or another reason for it.
