Folder max length creates folders ending in a dot

Since some files I download have very long filenames I have set the "folder_max_length" setting to 40 in the special settings.
Unfortunately, this causes some folder names in SABnzbd's incomplete directory to end with a dot (.), and they can't be removed afterwards unless I do it manually in command prompt. SAB doesn't remove them after unpacking either.
Ex: "Stephen.Colbert.2017.02.15.Bob.Odenkirk."
I've enabled "replace dots with spaces in folder names" in the options panel, but I guess this only applies to folders after unpacking and moving, not the initial incomplete-directories.
I'm using SABnzbd 2.0.0Alpha1 on 64 bit Windows 10. This behavior is not new in the Alpha, it happened in earlier versions as well.
