I run a Mac OS Sierra and recently downloaded sabnzbd for the update, no issues prior. Now I can not login to local host. I updated my password on Giganews and still it tells me authentication failed every time.
How to fix this, please.

Check your connection in Status and Interface settings window.
Use Test Server in Config > Servers.
We will probably ask you to do a test using only basic settings. - Do you experience problems during repair or unpacking?
Enable +Debug logging in the Status and Interface settings window and share the relevant parts of the log here using [ code ] sections.

You are mixing things up. The password for giganews is just to download. The password for sabnzbd is different!
Yoi have the icon of Sabnzbd in the top right of your screen in the osx status bar, correct?
In the menu, it has an option Troubleshoot where you can set to restart and disable sabnzbd password.
Try that!
