ive had SAB running reliably on a W7 server for some time now and its never given me any issues. but a few days ago it has begun stalling on downloads. it's not a certain nzb in particular, but completely random. it will get toward the end of the download, say 97% or so complete and then stop downloading. after it stops I've tested the server on the server page and it tests fine, I've enabled debugging in the logs and I see nothing that stands out. even a restart of SAB won't get it back going. I've also tried forcing a queued download to put it at a higher priority than the stalled download with no luck, as well as setting the stalled download to stop..... still no joy. the only thing that seems to reliably get it running for a little while longer is doing a queue repair.... thens it's a toss up as to when it'll decide to stall again.

any ideas? SAB has been running for months without issue until this snag.....

What version of Sabnzbd are you on?
Can you try 1.2.2?

currently on version 1.2.1 [d32cf57]. did 1.2.2 just release?

Oke strange, we thought to have fixed all stalling issues.
It usually has something to do with a bad server, do you use multiple?

no, just a single server. I finally just deleted the nzb it stalled on and restarted SAB. things took back off downloading. so, perhaps it is a problematic nzb. I've re-downloaded that nzb to see if it stalls on it again. if it does, I'll let you know.

must be the nzb. it has hung in the same spot. are there any settings that will detect this scenario and either abort the download or something? also, after deleting the failing nzb, things don't take back off. it requires a restart of SAB to get things going again.

Or, turn on +Debug in the Status Window and try to download it again? After it hangs, send me the log and maybe there is something to see!

Just wondering if you've had a chance to look into the issue any further. I checked on sab and it had stalled again. A restart got it back to running.

It's the decoder failing for some reason.
Could you 2.0.0? It's still a testing release, but the decoder is very different so it might fix the issue.

I'm headed to work right now. But when I get time I'll remote into my server and try installing it. Is it on the webpage? Also, just so it's known I was running the MKV->MP4 script, but I purged all the stuff required for that last night. don't think that has any bearing on the issue, but just tossing it out there.

Were you able to replicate the issue?

Link seems broken for 2.0.0 on the website. Can download the stable release, but get an error for the alpha.

Edit- looks like maybe github is having issues. I dunno.

Github's download is a link to Amazon's S3 ( https://github-cloud.s3.amazonaws.com/), which is (was?) having problems.
