Error unraring files

Good evening everyone,

So first off, I am currently running Debian 8 Jessie
I keep all my stuff updated to the latest, and I have installed all dependencies and the non-free version of unrar.

I keep getting this error: [Errno 2] No such file or directory" while unpacking RAR files

I have my permissions setup on the folders in question to 777
My $PATH is setup to include a direct link to unrar

I'm at the end of my rope here, I've been researching, and trying out all sorts of methods, and nothing has worked.

Please help ='(

Which version of SABnzbd?

Which version of unrar?

Post the relevant SABnzbd log lines (about 20-30) around the rar command. Put them in a CODE block.

Hello again!

So here's what I got.

SABNZBD Version: sabnzbdplus-1.2.0

While running the sabnzbdplus -v command this error popped up.

Code: Select all

/usr/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/cryptography/hazmat/bindings/__pycache__/_Cryptography_cffi_d62b3d91x972e1c0b.c:187:43: fatal error: CoreFoundation/CoreFoundation.h: No such file or directory
 #include <CoreFoundation/CoreFoundation.h>
UNRAR Version: 02.11.1999

And this is the log file, not sure if it has more than you need or not enough.

Code: Select all

unrar from 1999? So 18 years old ... ?

Make sure you get something like this:

Code: Select all

$ unrar -v

UNRAR 5.30 beta 2 freeware Copyright (c) 1993-2015 Alexander Roshal

Hahahaha

Took me a bit to find it, not gonna lie, unrar -v didn't work for me, but, found it at the top along with usage.

UNRAR 5.21 freeware

So ... is it working now?

Regarding that other error:
You should install cryptography package correctly.
This comes via pip, you are missing dependencies.
'pip install cryptography'

The problem hasn't been resolved yet sadly, still getting the same error when unpacking.

And for the pip install cryptography this is what I get.

Code: Select all

Requirement already satisfied (use --upgrade to upgrade): cryptography in /usr/lib/python2.7/dist-packages
Requirement already satisfied (use --upgrade to upgrade): cffi>=0.8 in /usr/lib/python2.7/dist-packages (from cryptography)
Requirement already satisfied (use --upgrade to upgrade): six>=1.4.1 in /usr/lib/python2.7/dist-packages (from cryptography)
Requirement already satisfied (use --upgrade to upgrade): pycparser in /usr/lib/python2.7/dist-packages (from cffi>=0.8->cryptography)
Cleaning up...

If the unrar command doesn't even work on the command line, why expect it to magically start working in sab?

Assuming "which unrar" even finds anything (doubt it, but hey...), what's the output of this:

Code: Select all

namei -lx "$(which unrar)"

The log is a bit weird, it's missing parts.
It goes from
2017-01-27 19:23:22,907::INFO::[newsunpack:1716] Quick-check of file hemlock.grove.s01e03.720p.bluray.x264-reward.r42 failed!

There should be a whole repair-section in between.
Maybe you can turn on +Debug in the Status Window and then post the log after it happens again? Then we have a lot more info! :)

Regarding issue 2:
Try:
pip install cryptography --upgrade

Try this:

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get install build-essential libssl-dev libffi-dev python-dev
(like advised on https://cryptography.io/en/latest/insta ... y-on-linux )
and then the

Code: Select all

pip install cryptography --upgrade
