Post processing par/par2 downloading issue

Post by fumorgan »

Hey all,

I like a few others here encountered some issues the other night regarding new obfuscated file postings to certain groups. Searching around I found the newest 1.2.0 RC1 release posted in another thread fixed the renaming issue. What I'm having issue with is the par2 file is being dl'd first but is not being renamed till the end of the dl'ing process so by the time it renames and starts the verification process it doesn't know that its fully complete yet and begins dl the par files irregardless that i have it set to not dl them in config. Being on fiber my connection ends up dl'ing the pars so fast that it finishes dl them before it finishes verifying.

I really don't want to use the extra bw for this if not needed. Is anyone else noticing this? just wondering

I'm using windows install of 1.2.0 RC1

Thanks

You mean the posts that are fully obfuscated? So also the par2 files have weird names?
The problem is that with fully obfuscated posts (so without extension), how can SAB know which files are actually par2? Only after we have downloaded them we can identify them..
Or does your post have regular (rar/par2) file extensions for all files?
