Hi, I have been using Sabnzbd for a couple of years now. It's a great program, so big thanks to the developers. I recently decided to start using a vpn and initially had no problems. However after updating from version 1.0.3 to 1.1.1 my download speeds became unusable.I could not get above 200Kb's as apposed to 12Mb's . Reverting back to 1.0.3 immediately resolved the problem. I realize that most people do not feel the need for a vpn , and it is probably something that is not a priority for the developers. I just wondered, has anyone else had the same problem, if so, would it be something that could be fixed in future or will i just need to stay with 1.0.3. Thanks in advance

How many conections set? What happens when you lower to 7?

Check: is SABnzbd running in a Virtual Machine?

I use 25. I will have to reinstall version 1.1 and lower to 7, to test. ( i will have a go tomorrow.)

No, but my browser is running under Sandboxie, but the program is not sandboxed.

Two more remarks:

- which VPN service do you use?
- Could you also try SABnzbd 1.2.0 Beta 1? I don't expect 1.2.0 will solve it, but just to be sure.

I am using slickvpn.
Yes I will try the beta tomorrow, and version 1.1 with 7 connections.

When you try the beta, set the number of connections to your maximum again.

Hi safihre, I have done a very short limited test, but the results are very promising.
Using version 1.1.1 , I got very good results using 7 connections, averaging 11 Mb's, however upon upping the connections to 10, the speed immediately dropped below 200Kb's.
Using the Beta 1.2.0 using 25 connections I averaged 12 Mb's .
So I can now use 1.1.1 with 7 connections or the beta with 25 or more connections.
I will stick with the beta and fingers crossed all will be ok.

Hi Gravy, based on your posts I think you qualify as a very capable SAB-Beta-tester. So please use SAB-beta-versions, and report any findings.
