Hi there, just some very quick info please. Sabnzbd cannot unpack a recently downloaded television show. I suspect it's because the files are encrypted, but all that I'm seeing from Sab is that there are no par2 sets, I see this under the Repair section of the info . Now it doesn't fail, it completely downloads, but when I look at the folder, I get a series of files that look like this:



I think all the data is there, but I can't figure out if there is any way for me to extract the files and create the video file. As you can see the files do not even have file extensions, but I suspect they are Rar files which are encrypted. But don't know for sure.

So couple of questions: 1. Is there anything I can do to manually extract these files? 2. Is this a problem with the NZB file or would it be more related to my Usenet Provider? i.e. if I use my backup usenet provider might I get a different result (note I have a block of data for backup usenet provider, so I don't generally like to run large amounts of data through it, but if you believe it is more likely my usenet provider causing the issue with the files, I would try switching my backup to my primary for this download)

You can try to manually rename the smallest file to end in .par2.
Then you can run quickpar on it and this should be able to rename the files so you can unpack them.
This is a feature which will be integrated in upcoming releases of Sabnzbd, but might still be a while.

Thanks for the advice... there was one file slightly smaller, instead of 51,000KB it is 50814KB. I renamed it and double clicked to run quickpar. The result was as follows:



I think I might just have to give up on these downloads. Too bad, because it really does look like all the content is there, but I just can't figure out how to unpack them.

Hmmm, yes that's too much obfuscation for us to figure out..

do you know, is it likely a result of the NZB file or is it an issue with my Usenet Provider? Would running it through a different usenet provider potentially have a different result?

It's done by the poster to hide the true contents.
