is it possible to have the queue filtered like it is possible for the history? This is a feature I really miss every day :-)

What kind of filtering? Like a search?
In Glitter the search box will show up when you have multiple pages, so set your Queue item limit (in Status and Interface settings) lower, and the searchbox will appear.
