I just started working on a GUI Frontend using the API and I'm wondering what the current status of 0.5.0 is?  should I target that version for my app since it seems to have a more full-featured api? is it stable enough for regular use right now? is there any estimates as to when it might be ready?  I know these are tough questions for an open source project, so I just a rough idea would be helpful.

We are working had to get it ready for release, however things are taking longer than expected.

Sign up as a release tester then you can judge for yourself how stable it is. At this time I would say it is feature complete, and pretty stable.
