Since updating to the latest release of Mac OS X 10.11.5 I have been unable to launch Sabnzbd

Typically Apple, breaking changes in minor releases.
We haven't upgrade to 10.11.5 yet.
Will be investigated.
Have you tried the Mavericks or Yosemite versions of SABnzbd?
They may work.

Can you try this?
Open the file /Users/username/Library/Application Support/SABnzbd/sabnzbd.ini with a text editor.
Where username is your user id.

Search for this line Change it to Then start SABnzbd again. If it does, you'll only miss the top menu icon.

Just upgraded to 10.11.5, no issue.
If you google for "UI updates were forcibly disabled by application"
you'll get a litany of complaints about issues with OSX itself.
Not sure what to think of it.

The work-around that I put in the previous message should solve the issue.
The OSX top menu icon is all the connection we have to OSX's user interface manager.
