For installing on a Windows-System Version 7.0 I tried to use the latest version 1.0.0
The installation doesn't work and broke off, the error code was:

"SABnzbd detected a fatal error:
Cannot access the user profile.
Please start with sabnzbd.ini file in another location
Program did not start!"

I have to say that I used an older version SABnzbd on another laptop (same Windows O.S.).
I tried to find the ini.file but I didn't find this file. I really don't know what I should to do.
Is here anybody who knows what's wrong and can help? Thanks much in advance.

How did you start SABnzbd?
Does re-installing 0.7.20 solve the problem?

I removed 1.0.0 and installed 0.7.20.
That solved the problem, with this version it works.

That is indeed very weird.
Should you want to help us in solving this problem, do the following:
- Install 1.0.0
- Open and cmd.exe windows (Start menu, type cmd.exe, enter)
- Type (including the quotes): - Enter

Then see if you see and error message in the window (you can scroll back).

I had the same problem.

Solved:
OLD: C:\Users\"MyName"\AppData\Local\

New: C:\Users\"MyName"\AppData\Local\SABnzbd; and then installed SABNzbd again. (I didn't remove the previous installation)

sub-dir SABnzbd is a new entry, handmade.


For me, it is working.
