items queue but will not start to download

Post by mmace »

Hi, I've seen this asked a few times, but I cannot get it to work with previous answers.

Version: 1.0.0 [a58bb38]
OS: Windows 10
Install-type: Windows Installer
Skin (if applicable): Default
Firewall Software: None (Windows not enabled)
Are you using IPV6? no, disabled on my LAN card
Is the issue reproducible? yes

I used to use sabnzbd in the past, moved away and just come back to it. I uninstalled it and reinstalled it. All seems set up OK, can connect with the tests (tweaknews), using port 443 (tried 563 too), SSL type is 'default' (tried all the others too)
I've added various NZBs of different sizes that all download OK in alt.binz client. made sure there's only 1 in the queue, removed all others each time to make sure nothing is blocking the queue. I've restarted sabnzbd, restarted my PC.

What's happening is, the item is added to the queue, it's not paused, but it doesn't begin downloading, it creates some files int he temp folder but nothing downloads
struggling with this, please can anyone advise?
thanks

I had a space after the address (even though tests say it worked)
removed it and everything started downloading

That would be a bug. I'll check if I can reproduce that.

Update:

I can reproduce it with SAB 1.0.0, so it's a bug. I've reported it on github: https://github.com/sabnzbd/sabnzbd/issues/529

Hello. Please forgive my newbie-ness. I've been using sabnzbd for a little while now with great success. However upon upgrade to 1.0.0 I am having a similar issue described here where items will queue but not download. I looked over the forum posts from the last few weeks and nothing that I found seemed to help. I'm sure it is something silly. Any help would be appreciated.

Version: 1.0.0
OS: Windows 10
Install-type: Windows Installer
Skin (if applicable): Currently default, but I tried them all
Firewall Software: Windows firewall
Are you using IPV6? My newbie shows here. Not sure. In the Special config section ipv6_hosting is not checked, ipv6_servers is set to 1. Under Status->Dashboard->IPv6 address there is an entry there.

I'm not seeing any errors in the log. My connections are showing as this:
Server: secure.usenetserver.com

Priority = 0 Enabled

# Connections: 0

When I test the server connection under config I get a Connection Successful message.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I believe I may be encountering this issue as well. I recently reinstalled Windows 7, and downloaded version 1.0.0, but downloads are not appearing to start. They queue and populate __ADMIN__ folders in the "incomplete" folder, but do not download. They only display "0:00:00 left" on the queue screen. Re-booting both the machine and the service, as well as pausing, restarting and re-enabling SABnzbd are to no avail. Testing connection to my provider (NewsDemon) continually shows "Connection Succesful". I've confirmed Max Retries is set to 3, and I've reduced Server Timeout to 60 seconds. As jimmyimpossible mentions, no discernible errors in the logs, and seeing the same thing in connections (just with a different provider). I've also verified that the port SABnzbd is using is open and visible via http://portchecker.co/canyouseeme.

And can you make sure that in the settings of your server you have selected the Default category?
