Hello everyone!

I don'pt remember this being a problem in the past (maybe about 3 to 4 months ago). But one day recently I noticed that my connection really slows down if I'm using my VPN. I can get about 10-13 MB/s when I dont have my VPN running, but if I turn on the VPN I max out at 1-1.5 MB/s. I'm using VyprVPN and the latest Sabnzbd. Has anyone ever run into this and know of a solution? I really don't think this was aproblem in the past. As I always run sabnzbd with my VPN on and this is only a semi-recent issue.

What is the Internet speed within the VPN?

If VPN from PC: startup VPN, then measure speed via http://www.speedtest.net/

If VPN from a NAS: on NAS startup VPN, then:

Code: Select all

git clone https://github.com/sivel/speedtest-cli.git
speedtest-cli/speedtest_cli.py

Well. Strange. OK it defintiely is the VPN. I will contact them. I know this didn't used to be an issue as I previously got full speeds with the VPN on. Maybe an update on their end messed things up. I get 100Mb/s down without it on and 10Mb/s down with it on. Thanks!
