What am i doing wrong Fresh Server Fresh installs [Ubuntu VM

Post by the0ckid82 »

Hi all

I've spent the past 2 days trying to figure out what im doing wrong here but not really been able to figure anything out.

so i set up a brand new Ubuntu 15.10 server VM that i will be using only for my media needs.

i currently have an older ubuntu 14.04 VM that is doing multiple things like Sick/SAB/Couch , webserver, game server etc.

the issue that i have been having is that i cant seem to get sab to actually run. I've got the newest version (0.8.0.beta5) installed on the server and it appears that it installed correctly ( at least its not throwing any errors during the install) but when i try to go to the webUI i continue to get "This webpage is not available ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED" as if its not even running.

The only thing that has been installed on this server is OpenSSH and Sickrage.

Im not even sure where to start on diagnosing this but any help would be appreciated

Thanks

From where are you trying to access SABnzbd? From the host OS? If so, start SABnzbd in the guest OS with "sabnzbdplus --server 0.0.0.0:8080"
