Horrible download speeds, I think I've tried everything.

My internet is 17MB/170Mbps and speedtest actually pings out around 190Mbps...Sabnzbd is downloading at barely 1MBps

Cache is set at 200M with 8GB ram in the system. Usenet server and astraweb are my servers (not on SSL) and connections on both are set at 7. I've tried force disconnect, repair, and nothing....Any ideas what the heck is going on here? There are no time outs or anything in the connections either.
EDIT: It's actually barely getting over 500KB/s right now...

What kind of hardware and OS are you using?
How old are the posts?
Should you have a primary and a backup server then this may be happening:
If your primary server doesn't have the post and it is slow in telling SABnzbd that,
it will slow down things considerably.
Do you see in the Status page that both servers are being used?

Honestly I think I probably just fixed it. The one thing I hadn't tried until right before I posted this was turning off ssl for the servers and switching to normal ports. Speeds are now acceptable around 12MB/s. I can live with that. Thank you for the quick reply, but I fell it is taken care for now. Please close thread if needed...
EDIT: I had reset the servers to non ssl right before posting but hadn't reset SAB yet. It seems to have worked...

That is weird.
On a mainstream PC it shouldn't matter much whether or nor SSL is enabled.
Although I'm not 100% sure if on-the-fly changing of SSL (and port!) works well.

I agree but it is still working as of now...I've got all 7 connections on both servers working and it's maxing our around 10.5MB/s. I would love to get my full 17/18MB/s but I can live with this.
EDIT: Ok nevermind back down to 1MB/s

This is getting frtustrating....

When the speed goes back like this, it's usually the server.

Or the ISP throttling news connections. Workaround: VPN. Giganews seems to offer VPN functionality ...

Would throttling cause it to go from 800-900KB/s up to my max and back down....it's all over the place.
yeah it's not my ISP and it's something with SAB for sure as when I run the same file on NZBGet my speed is constant and maxed out. But I much prefer SAB

I cannot explain.
The only time I see "wild ranging" is when I use WiFi instead of wired.

I reinstalled Sab with fresh setting and now it's fine? I haven't changed anything in forever though so I'm really curious as to what happened as I don't want to have to keep reinstalling...

There can be some data pollution over time, especially due to unexpected shutdowns.
Although since 0.6.0, that should be limited to just individual jobs.
Should it happen gain, what helps (almost always) is a full queue repair from the Status page.
We are aware that what you describe sometimes happens, but so far we've never been able to pin down a root cause.
