Mac setup/folder permissions?

Hi all,

I have been using SABNZBD for years on my PC, recently made the move to MAC and I'm having a few issues.

Mac running El Capitan 10.11
Installed version of SAB: SABnzbd-0.8.0Beta1-osx-EL_CAPITAN.dmg

It seems to be installed and working correctly, download starts and after a few min i get these errors:
Disk error on creating file /Volumes/Movies/Usenet/Incomplete/...
Saving /Volumes/Movies/Usenet/Incomplete/

The above directories are on a network HD connected to my Time Capsule

I am guessing there may be an issue with permissions?

Has anyone had the same problem, some advice would be appreciated.

I am new to Mac so some in depth directions would be great...

Cheers

You should not put the "incomplete" folder on an external drive.
Use a local folder.
Timing issues may cause the drive not to be mounted at all times.

I also have a time capsule that I use as an external HD for my iMac, Plex plays files from this location as it is is on a local network. Is there a way I can have SAB place the completed files on my Time Capsule HD - then Plex would see it and play without me having to move it manually?

I have heard people mention "mounting" the drive - not sure I know how to do this (could read up on it) -- if I did would this mess up Plex finding the files?

SABnzbd supports external drives as final destination, Plex probably too.
These have indeed to be "mounted", resulting in a path name like /Volumes/MyDisk
You should read up on volume mounting, it's not hard once you understand the idea.
