Upgrade to Win 10 problem - sabnzbd now nonfunctional

I just updated my Windows 7 laptop to Windows 10 and sabnzbd no longer functions.
I never had a problem with Win 7.
Doesnt seem to matter whether its within Google Chrome or the new Microsoft Edge browser.
I keep getting an error message saying "error: failed making..." with whatever nzb file I am trying to open in sabnzbd
I tried creating a new directory within sabnzbd but got "ERROR: Cannot create directory..."
I have removed and reloaded the latest version of sabnzbd as well as the new 0.8.0Alpha3 version to no avail.
Any help would be MOST appreciated!
Thanks!

Possibly SABnzbd's default locations are at places where it's no longer allowed to write.
You can set alternative locations for:
Temporary Download Folder
Completed Download Folder
Check whether or not SABnzbd keeps these values when you restart it.

I just upgraded an older PC from Win7 to Win10.
SABnzbd works like it always did, so I have no idea what's going on.
My advice is still valid: try an alternative location for the temp download folder.

That seems to have worked. I created a new "download" folder on the desktop with sub-folders of "complete" and "incomplete", pointed sabnzbd to them and now its working just fine! I dont know why Win 10 wouldn't allow the original folders under "documents" but I'll go with this. Perhaps there are some new permissions required in Win 10...
Thanks so much!!!
