Downloading speeds??

I have a quick question for the pros! When I start using sabnzbd I am getting around 4.5mb. After a couple of minutes It will slow down to around 1.2 - 1.3mb. (It will not surpass 1.3mb after this) If I pause the download and start it again I get the same thing. Is this normal? I have 50/5 connection.

Did you enter a large value in Config->General->Cache?
Try 1G if working on an average or better PC/Mac/Linux box.

Thank you for the reply. It was set to 200M but I changed it to 1G, but I am still having the same issue. Im using a home server with the following specs:
- Intel Xeon X3430 @ 2.4g
- 8 gigs of memory
- W Server 2008 R2 Standard
Connected by ethernet to a Airport Extreme running the most current firmware.

Have you tried alternative Usenet software, like Grabit?
With your hardware and ISP you should have no trouble getting about 5 Mbyte/sec (about 50Mbit/sec).
