When i open Sabnzb to track my downloads it freezes my computer. It doesn't completely stop altogether but becomes sluggish and slow. This is a new issue that's only started happening even though ive used it for years. I have updated my version and i do not have freezing issues with anything else on my computer.

When i open sabnzb it opens in my browser.. it then becomes non responsive and hangs. If im patient and wait a minute or two i can eventually see how the downloads are doing.

Any insight as to this issue is appreciated.

Try a "Queue repair" (even if emtpy) on the Status page.
Which web browser are you using? Have you tried another one?

When i open sabnzb it automatically defaults to firefox. How would you change that over to test a different browser?

Also just to clarify but my downloads them self are fine.. its when i open sabnzb that my browser becomes unresponsive. The downloads continue even though my browser stops working.

Just copy the URL in your standard browser.
Then open the new browser and paste the URL into the new browser.

There can be bugs in SABnzbd and/or the browser which can cause the problems you describe.

Which browser do you use and on which OS?

In my experience Firefox is horrible: stalling and stuttering with all kinds of websites. I have no such problems with Chrome/Chromium.

FYI: "browser becomes unresponsive" might be correct, and/but is quite something else than "SabNzb Freezing" as you say in your subject and first post.

Yeah sander i saw with my explaining that it could confuse people. In fire fox it would become unresponsive and then randomly work for a brief second. Copying the link into another browser has it working with zero issues. Seems a bit odd that after using firefox forever that it would start giving me issues.

The issues are from using windows 7 ultimate and the latest firefox browser.

Release 0.8.0 will contain an all-new skin (Glitter) which is based
on more modern browser techniques.
My hope is that this will function a lot better.
It will be in 0.8.0 Alpha3, out somewhere next week.
