Can't access external host from LAN (works externally)

Previously, I've had an external host that I setup from no-ip.com and it's worked perfectly regardless of where it's being accessed from.
Since today, (I've changed nothing) it's not working on my LAN but works fine externally (tested on my phone's data connection and got a friend to check). I've tried ping from the terminal and it just says unknown host.
This isn't a huge issue since I can still access it via the local IP address, but it's nice to be able to use one address on my plugins/ on my phone etc and have it work without having to manage it.
Any ideas what's happened? I've tried doing a ping test from my router and that pings fine, but anything that's not the router fails to give any feedback. It does the same thing on sickrage.
