Install-type: OMV Plugin
Firewall Software: None
Are you using IPV6? yes, my internet provider(Kabel Deutschland) only gives out ipv6 adresses and combines many customers to one ipv4
Is the issue reproducible? yes always

I've been using sabnzbd for about a week now and most things are just awesome but i've got one big problem.

With all Usenetproviders (except one) that i tested i can't get any download speed. It shows 1-10 kb/s but it doesn't download anything. No missing articles and the downloads are not too old for the retention. This happens with every download i try.

Usenet provider working:
UsenetBucket (XS News Reseller)

Usenet provider not working:
maximumUsenet (Highwinds Reseller)
supernews (Giganews Reseller)
eweka (highwinds Provider)
astraweb (Searchtech Limited provider)

I first thought it might be a problem with DMCA stuff but with my other usenet client AltBinz the exact same downloads with every provider work perfectly.
I tried the same Server Settings that worked with AltBinz, i've tried with and without SSL,i've tried different ports, i've tried running sabnzbd on my windows machine (the same pc that runs AltBinz) but it's always the same
There are no errors/wanrings whatsoever.
I'm completely out of Ideas, if anybody could help me i would be soooo happy.

That's a hard problem.
We can hardly test with IPv6, because we don't have it.
(Except through a slow gateway.)

It could be an issue with DNS.
Can you find out the numerical IP address of your Usenet providers?
Use that instead of the name.
Do your Usenet providers have an IPv6 address?

omg i love you!
got the ipv4 of maximumusenet (via cmd -> ping in windows), used that instead of the url and BOOM full speed!
if you want, write me a pm with your mail and i'll send you a invite. if you've already got a DOGnzb account or don't want one you can give me a mail of a friend who wants one or you can do a lottery in the forums here or whatever ^^

I'm happy it works.
BTW, there's a special setting to disable IPv6 for servers.
Disable Config->Special->ipv6_servers

ok i realy don't understand the world no more.
i was happy that it worked but i just had to test the other servers

. disabled maximumusenet again and tested astra etc. stuff working fine and then i changed to maximumusenet again and... same problem again. usenetbucket still works fine the rest doesn't work anymore. I enabled the no_ipv6 option, i tried using the ips instead of the urls but i've got the same problem again...

btw: testing servers says "Connection succesful"

when i force disconnect using usenetbucket i just get 0 connections and after a few seconds he connects fine.
if i do the same with another provider and refresh, i get "# Connections: Failed to connect: (9, 'Ung\xc3\xbcltiger Dateideskriptor') 14@81.171.92.220:563" after some seconds it just says Status: Enabled # Connections: 13 but it doesn't show any problems

What if you set each newsserver to just 1 connection, stop SABnzbd, wait 15 minutes, and start SABnzbd again?

Question: can you logon to a command prompt on your OpenMediaVault/Debian? If so, I have some tests for you.

i did what you said but it's the same result, in the connections tab it says that every news server is connected with 1 connection but still no download from any other usenet probider except usenetbucket

In SABnzbd, can you use the standard port, non-SSL servers, instead of the SSL & special port ones?

allready tried that with all providers and ports.
usenetbucket works with every port the others work with none (SSL and non-SSL ports)

as you see, the test server says it's working. the exact same settings work with another usenet client (AltBinz) and i've tried the other servers (non-SSL and us) and different ports. every time the same result

PS: if you want i can give you my maximumusenet login credentials for testing, just wirte me a pm

edit: something strange just happend. i tested some things with my locally (win 8.1) installed sabnzbd and astraweb. at first it was the exact same thing, so it didn't download at all and just said 3-10KB/s download speed. after i left it alone for ~30 minutes it started downloading with 500KB/s-1MB/s (although that's still really slow, i should get ~11MB/s)
