Due to Lastpass / ChromeOS not functioning with basic authentication (old school pop-up login), I'm asking if SAB could possibly switch to using a more current model of HTML authentication?

Minor... but important to me. I don't want to turn of authentication nor do I want to use an insecure password, but on my ChromeOS it is... awkward, to say the least.

I understand it's awkward, but the web framework we use has no better solution currently.
We will move to a much more recent version and look at it again.

Bump. I'd love to be able to login automatically on Linux w/ LastPass. It will also make it a lot easier for mobile users too.
