Hi everyone....

I'm having trouble setting up my SABMobile App on iPhone.

I can get it too work fine on a local network but when I'm away from home, I can't get it to connect.

I know my external IP number
I know my computer is on 10.0.0.8

Other than that I don't really know what too do.

Is it something to do with the setting within SABnzbd on my Mac?
ie Under General - HTTS Support or SABnsbd Websever?

I leave these set to default because once I start messing around with Hosts & Ports I can often lose my self!
I use the API ket within the mobile app. no joy.

Hope someone can help.

Thanks

You have to setup port forwarding. See http://wiki.sabnzbd.org/faq#toc36

I thought it might be a port forwarding issue. That's where my head ache begins. I'm not that good at it. I will give it another try.
I tried it yesterday on my netgear router but when testing online to see if that port was open it said it wasn't.
Could other devices be blocking the port?
My ISP/ phone company have installed a white box where my fiber optic comes in, this has LAN connections, which is then fed to my netgear router.
I need to investigate more!!

You could try UPnP.

In http://miniupnp.free.fr/files/ go to "Latest files", and download the mini-upnp client for your platform (Linux, OSX, or Windows). If you the upnpc exectable, run this in a terminal/command box:

Code: Select all

upnpc -l
Post the output here.

Thanks for the reply, I'm not sure how or why, but I got it working now.... Nothing to do with the Fibre Optical white box that my ISP installed. I just opened the correct ports I guess and forward them on to the correct IP address on my Router. I can now access VNC and SAB Mobile app away from home.
