Odd unpacking issue

Hi all,

I'm running SAB on an old Netgear Stora NAS, and apart from the lack of CPU horsepower it's been running quite nicely.
However, I have an odd issue which seems to be cropping up with some downloads and being quite a n00b I wondered if anyone can help?

Basically, I'm seeing some downloads complete but then finding no files in the download folder.
Mousing over the icons on SAB shows:
[xxWxxWxxS] Unpacked 0 files/folders in 4 minutes 46 seconds

Effectively, it seems the RAR process is extracting nothing - but not taking 0 seconds like it would if there was a password or an issue.

Once this has happened, the download is considered complete - so there are no left over RAR/PAR files to repair and manually extract, meaning a completely wasted download.
I've retried the download on one file with exactly the same results.

Other files download fine - but this happens with approx 10% of my downloads.

Any ideas?

Craig

It could be that the unrar tool is too old.
If you copy the rar files to a PC, can you unpack with WinRar?

Hi Shypike,

The RAR files have gone - I'm just left with a folder in my completed downloads area and the sorting script appears to have run.
So the folder is in the movies area, and named as the title of the movie with the year, there is just nothing in the folder.

Could you tweak the code to leave the RAR files if nothing is unpacked to allow for manual processing?

You could choose to set the post-processing option to "Download".
That way the files are just downloaded without repair or unpacking.
An alternative is "+Repair", then at least repair is used and you're left with just the RAR files.
