Speed on FreeNAS

I just upgraded my internet to 25M, and I am seeing a strange issue with Sab. Sab should be able to pull a constant 3MB download speed all of the time, however when it initially starts or starts after I pause it, it spikes up to 3MB and stays there for 20 seconds or so, but then goes down to 1.3MB and settles there and doesn't fluctuate at all. Does anyone know why this might happen? I am running Sab as a plugin in FreeNAS, and I noticed the issue as soon as I upped my internet speed, but definitely happened since 7.18, and I am currently on 7.20.

Given time warner cable/roadrunner's history of throttling and/or "speed boost" marketing bs, your isp is the primary suspect here:

Figured out my issue. It was actually my subscription to Astaweb. Back when I had the slower internet I only had the 10Mbit/s plan, I changed to the full unlimited version and we are now downloading full speed. Thanks for the reply jcfp!
