Hi,

I'm using the OSX binary on Mavericks 10.9.4 and the built in Python version is 2.7.2. How do I update it to 2.7.8 (latest) and is there really a need to do so? The Python version installed on the Mac is 2.7.8

Don't update the built-in Python.
The SABnzbd distribution is (mostly) self-contained and doesn't require upgrading anything else on OSX.
