Hybrid primary/backup server

I only have 1 usenet server at the moment and wanted to add another one soon. I want the second server to download concurrently with the first server, but also act as a backup at the same time if the first server is missing an article. Is this possible?

Yes. Just fill it out as normal server.

So if you have multiple servers all set to normal server and an article misses on server 1, it'll try all the other servers for that article before giving up?

Yes, it will try all primaries and then the backups, but it stops as soon as one server has the article.
