Sorting and folder levels in SABnzbd

Post by Inkogneetoh »

Hello all,

I'm relatively new to Usenet and SABnzbd, however I have it aaalmost working. For context on the issue I'm having, here is how my download folder is setup:

Downloads: \\NASNAME\SHARENAME\Downloads\Complete
TV Shows: \\NASNAME\SHARENAME\TV\Show Name\Season #\showsgohere.ext
Movies: \\NASNAME\SHARENAME\Movies\Movie Folder\moviename.ext

Now the problem I am having is in order to set the download path, I have set the it to the Download path above. When I go into the 'Sorting' settings to set where to move downloads to and how to rename them the highest level subfolder I can move things to begins at the Download level - meaning my folder structure would then be \\NASNAME\SHARENAME\Downloads\TV\Show Name\etc. which I do not want.

I've attempted to use the \..\ in order to go up a level but this didn't work. Is there anything I can add to the start of the path that would take me up a folder level?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I don't quite understand.
I assume you're using categories and category-specific paths?
If so, Sort will use as base path the category-specific path and not the default one.
Alternatively you can embed the full NAS path in the sort expression.
