Downloads Stopping At 99%

I am running Windows 0.7.17.

Just recently (possibly only as of this version?), downloads will sometimes randomly stop at 99%. When I click the collection, there is a single file left, with only a couple megabytes remaining. If I then go to Status>Connections, I can see that SAB only has one connection dedicated to said file, and the remainder are downloading something else or downloading nothing. The download will sometimes complete on its own after 1-5 minutes, but most of the time I have to click Force Disconnect on the Connections page to get it to reset the connection and finish the download.

Has anyone else seen this behavior? Let me know if there's any more information I can provide.

Is the file list empty in the details screen? (Click on job title.)

No, there's always one or two files remaining needing a very small amount of data to complete.

I have seen this in the past, but it was pretty rare. This past week, it's happened more often than not.

Except for errors in SABnzbd itself, it seems to be always the same Usenet providers that show this problem.
I see it mostly with Astraweb.
Having a (too) short server timeout can be a cause.

I use Newshosting, but I've seen Astraweb show up in the Status>Connections tab.

Timeout is set to the default 120s. What would you recommend I try?

The cause is usually that one server simply times out instead of saying it doesn't have an article.
Setting the timeout too high means that it takes forever (many minutes) before SABnzbd gives up.
Especially so when many articles are missing.
I recommend 60 sec.

BTW: you can set the priority to "Stop" to force post processing of the job.
