Can't turn display off on Mac.

Hi I am using SABNZBD 0.4.6(installed using the universal binary package and plush skin) on my Leopard 10.5.6(Alum iMac). I've set up hot corner zones on my Mac to turn the display off. I've also set the display to be turned off automatically after 5 mins if it is idle.

So far I've used Limewire, Transmission(Mac torrent client) and a few other p2p apps with no problems. I.e. the display can always be turned off either manually by me or automatically by the system. However with Sabnzbd I can't seem to turn the display off. If I turn the display off manually it comes back on again after 3-5 secs. Needless to say it doesn't even turn off automatcially.

Am really hoping someone can explain what I am doing wrong coz the overnight downloads are not being earth friendly!  :(

I never had such issue.
Do you use Screen Sharing ? Because when I'm controlling my iMac from my laptop, I have this, but it's not related with SAB.

Nah I don't have or use any screen sharing at all. What I just found out as well is that even after shutting down SAB I still can't turn the display off unless I reboot! Could it be the Phython daemon causing this?

If you reboot, launch SAB, quit SAB, you screen don't turn off anymore ?
Just try this without launching any other app to be sure it's a SAB issue.
I don't think it's a python issue. When you quit SAB, python is not running anymore.
